Midnight padded in her sister's shadow as they headed to-wards the river, her auds twitched in slight irritation as she felt mud stick to her soft ebony pelt, she hated her wonderful pelt being dirty. Her bushy tassel was held high as not to get mud upon that also, with a slight growl her front delicate paw slipped in the soft mud, her talons dug into the earth as she caught her balance.
Once reaching the river Midnight looked to her sister before leaping onto a nearby boulder, crouching low she lowered her skull to-wards the slow flowing river. Her maw opened as her tongue slid out to softly lap up the water. Her auds turned round on her head as she listened to the woodlands for any dangers. Once her thirst was sated she slowly rose to her paws and turned to leap back onto the grasslands with a soft thud, as her paws touched the ground she soon felt the difference from walking on the river bank. She pressed her paw against the firm dry ground before sitting on her haunches.
Her grey orbs swiveled round as her gaze surveyed the lands, she would now watch her sister's back while she drank. [glow=purple,2,300]"Sister you should drink."[/glow]

Greymuzzle had been walking almost parallel to the other fox, on the other side of the river. He had known she was there for quite some time, but had not taken any notice of her. His golden optics took it all in; her drink, her slipping in the muck and the faint growl of annoyance. Greymuzzle found her interesting, and stalked her for quite some time. He skipped on ahead of her.
Two black paws sank into the mud, quickly followed by the rest. Uttering short, sharp curses to himself he struggled quite a bit, always checking to see that she was not getting close. But he could smell her getting closer. Finally he was freed from the cloying mire. He slunk into the shadow of the nearest bush. But he had left four deep and plainly obvious prints in the mire, but he hoped that she wouldn't notice.

Her bushy tassel lashed from one side to the other in slight irritation, she hated waiting. With a slight sigh she slowly rose to her paws and began to slowly pad off, her auds back as she listened out for her sister.
Her small delicate paw slid into a larger paw print as she stopped to await her sister, as she slowly began to turn she caught sight of the other paw prints out the corner of her eye. She looked down at the prints left in the mud, her head turned to one side as she thought. [glow=purple,2,300]"Ghost... Take a look at this."[/glow] Curiosity overcame her as she looked at these prints, she lowered her head as her nostrils flared. She took in the scent of what seemed to be a fox... Male by the smell of it.
With a slight shake of the head, Midnight looked up. Her grey orbs swiveled round as she searched for the fox that had left his mark.
